Learn lifesaving skills and earn service hours!
DC3C R.E.A.D.Y. Week (Readiness, Exploration, Advocacy, Discovery, and You) is a three-day hybrid Spring Break Career Readiness Program for students with disabilities ages 14+. Students build real-world readiness skills through interactive workshops, guest speakers, hands-on activities, and community-based learning experiences.
Students explore careers, build workplace and leadership skills, strengthen self-advocacy, and learn about college, training, and employment opportunities.
Participants earn certifications during the program. Certification opportunities may vary from year to year and may include areas such as CPR, AED, First Aid, workplace safety, financial literacy, or other career-readiness skills.
Students may also earn community service hours while gaining practical tools and experiences that support their transition from school to careers, college, and community life.
By the end of the program, participants leave with new skills, recognized credentials, increased confidence, and a clearer understanding of their future goals.
