Eligibility for DC3C Summer Pathways
DC3C Summer Pathways is open to students ages 14–21 who have an Individualized Education Program (IEP) or Section 504 Plan and attend a public charter school affiliated with the DC Special Education Cooperative (Co-op) member network.
This program is supported through the District of Columbia Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA), which helps students with disabilities prepare for careers, education, training, and independent living after high school through Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS).
To participate, students must have a completed RSA Pre-ETS Consent Form on file:

A: DC3C Summer Pathways 2027 will begin in June 2027 and end in August 2027. Check back in Spring 2027 for specific dates.
Students will work Mondays – Thursdays from 9:30 am – 3:30 pm.
A: Yes. Participants are paid for time worked, up to the maximum number of hours allowed each week through MBSYEP. Students can view their earnings statements in their youth portal each pay period.
Pay rates and weekly hour limits are based on age:
- Ages 14–15: $6.25/hour, up to 20 hours per week
- Ages 16–21: $9.00/hour, up to 25 hours per week
- Age 22 (maximum age for this program): $17.95/hour, up to 30 hours per week
A: DC3C Summer Pathways 2027 will be based at our main site located at 1616 P Street NW, Washington, D.C. Some program days will also include off-site career experiences and field trips at partner locations across the city. Final location details and weekly schedules will be shared with families as placements and field experiences are confirmed.
A: Students will explore career pathways, practice workplace skills, and participate in hands-on learning experiences and workshops.
